South Gloucestershire White-Clawed Crayfish Porject

The White-clawed crayfish is the only species of crayfish native to the UK. It has suffered a serious population decline due to competition from introduced crayfish species, as well as habitat destruction.

This project aims to help with the conservation of white-clawed crayfish. Funding has been offered to carry out a detailed survey of the population in the River Frome within South Gloucestershire
