South Mitcham Community Centre – Improving Spaces, Image and Accessibility

Refurbishment of the 1970s community centre to enable it to meet the needs of the community. Works include: installation of an accessible entrance door system, additional electrics to enable safe delivery of activities and projects, replacement of old chairs and flooring, installation of digital displays to improve communication including audio and translated information, and creation of a new private meeting room space using stud partition. Additional equipment will also be purchased and installed at the centre (range cooker, dishwasher, freezer, signs, IT/wifi hub upgrade, garden workshop/shed, wooden bench, picnic table, and lawn mower). These improvements will benefit all users by creating a safe, pleasant and accessible community hub.
