South Park Ecology Learning Resources Area

The South Park Ecology Learning Resources Area plans to create a patchwork of micro habitats to encourage biodiversity and provide an informal educational framework for park users and local schoolchildren. A redundant stone paddling pool and surrounding grass beds will be converted into long-grass meadow, wildflower meadow, a wetland/marsh area and planted with species to attract insects and birds. An outdoor classroom area will provide an area for workshops, school projects and storytelling.
