Southern Light Community Hall, Sheffield – Refurbishment (5975/D)

The project aim is to extend and restructure the building in order to better serve local residents by providing better facilities for the church, groups and to provide additional services (eg a senior citizen’s luncheon club, adult learning groups, children’s playspace and a community café.) The updated building will provide much-needed, safe and compliant, modern, ecologically-conscious, high-quality community meeting space and will be a place for people of all ages to meet for friendship and support. The project will provide a new, accessible and inviting entrance and reception area and internal restructuring of the building to create designated, high-quality spaces and a modern, well-equipped, energy-efficient kitchen. These alterations will make the building substantially more welcoming and useful, and deliver a cost-effective but excellent facility for current and future service users.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the refurbishment.
