Specialist Restoration/Treatment of Leaded Windows & Doors to Improve Insulation

The project will see for an expert restoration of the Upper Hall windows to improve airtightness, and also for (non-permanent/removable) thermal film treatment for Upper Hall window and doors. The requested funding will enable repair/restoration of 30 individual leaded lights (around 75 ft2 in total), and enable the purchase/installation of heat loss film for all Upper Hall windows and doors.
The building is regularly hired out by theatre and dance companies as a rehearsal/performance space, and by the wider community as a celebration venue (including weddings) and customers that they have gathered feedback from have invariably confirmed that Longfield’s historic architecture positively influenced them to hire the space. Each year the Hall also receives a high number of visitors from outside of the local area (and from outside Greater London also) through the annual Open House festival, run by Open City charity.
