Speldhurst Recreation Ground, Nr Tunbridge Wells – Play Area Improvements (1923/D)

The existing playground equipment is extremely old and some pieces do not come within the ROSPA inspection due to their age. It currently caters for children up to age 6 years and has 8 pieces of equipment. The project is to refurbish some items and install new pieces of play equipment to cater up to age 12 and to provide a focal meeting point and social area within the village. It is proposed to use landscaping and equipment to challenge all children. The area will provide picnic tables and seating and be fenced off from the main Recreation Ground area. The project will also create a new multi-sport games area on the recreation ground.
