Spratton Playground Development Phase Two

The aim of the project is to provide playground equipment suitable for 10 – 16 age group. Currently the playground equipment is suitable, and appeals to children under the age of 10. The Recreation Field is used regularly by all ages however it is under utilised by the 10-16 age group, due to the lack of age specific play equipment.

Around 40 young people took part in a consultation and overwhelmingly supported the provision of more suitable play equipment for their age group and identified which equipment they preferred.

Funding is required to purchase and professionally install the play equipment and safety surfacing. A post completion inspection is also included in the costings. Three local suppliers have been asked to produce competitive quotations.
