Springfield Mill Wildlife Site

The project will create a new wildlife site on the site of a former paper mill. The project is phase 2 of a larger project. In phase 1, Midlothian Council undertook some site clearance works, the breaking up and re- shaping of demolition material and the installation of monitoring wells.
Phase 2 is a joint project with the Council that will include topsoiling, tree planting, seeding, the construction of new paths, a wildlife pond, river bank works, a new car park, pond dipping platforms and picnic tables. LCF £32050.
