Springhead Park, Rothwell - Playground

We and our project partners (Friends Of Springhead Park, LCC Parks & Countryside and Rothwell Residents Association) wish to transform the two Toddlers Playgrounds and the overall play experience for young children at Springhead Park. The two Toddlers Playgrounds are separated by two parallel lines of fencing and thus do not function effectively, most of the play equipment is old and uninspiring and there are no informal play features at all within either playspace. We want to realise a bespoke design that will join the semi-detached play areas together, replacing the existing life-expired play equipment and adding a range of informal play features for imaginative play. There will be various swings with different style seats, two climbing frames/multi-units with integral slides, a grouped springy, inclusive roundabout, three spinning bowls, see-saw, earth mounds with balance beams, stepping/splashing stones, climbing boulder, benches, signage and 320m2 of new safety surfacing.
