Springhill Childrens’ Play Area

The project aims to transform and upgrade a run down playground into a play rae for both younger and older youth age groups. At present the play facility for young people in this area of West Belfast has become prone to vandalism and misuse. The residents have already completed a Phase I of the regeneration fo the park in 2009 by developing a community garden. This is Phase II of their proposals and aims to upgrade the facilities within the park and provide new facilities for older children / young people. Additional to the project will be higher fencing that will eman that the faciility can be locked overnight to increase safety and reduce any risk of vandalism.
