Square Chapel Centre for the Arts: The Final Pieces

This impressive Grade 2* Georgian red – brick building in 1772 – the only remaining square church in Britain – is a lively arts centre with a packed programme of events to suit everyone. In 1988 it was rescued from ruin and turned into a charitable centre for the arts. The subsequent years have been milestones of achievement as Square Chapel goes from strength to strength as an arts venue of major importance to the Yorkshire region. It now programmes over 300 events every year and has an extensive outreach / workshops programme bringing in new users and groups with a variety of needs. There is an outgoing programme of improvements.
