Square Food Foundation

Square Food Foundation is a charity that uses food and cooking to improve health, reduce hunger and bring people together. We teach people of all ages, abilities and from all walks of life to cook good food from scratch. We deliver a programme of free / subsidised food-based activities and services from our purpose-built community kitchen at the Park Community Centre in Bristol’s Knowle West. The Centre is currently being re-built and the new build is due to open in January 2022. Along with the tenants, Square Food Foundation will move into its new kitchen on the new site. Whilst basic infrastructure for the new kitchen is provided by the landlords, Square Food is responsible for certain costs – including replacement appliances, shelving, office furniture and project management. We are applying to LCF for support to cover this one-off investment that will help secure our future in the longterm as a valuable community resource with enhanced accessibility that contributes to the local social environment.
