St Andrew’s Church, Miserden: Restoraiton of Heraldic Monuments, Listed Tombs and Graves

The aim is to repair, re-paint and make safe 2 Heraldic monuments within St Andrew’s Church.
17th Century Partridge Monument: This was damaged and unsafe, in danger of collapsing on the congregation. The aim is to repair the monument, re-paint and re-erect.
17th Century Wolley Monument: This monument is undamaged but requires re-painting and securing to avoid it collapsing on the congregation.
Listed Monuments: The aim is to repair and make safe as individually required 5 listed monuments within the church yard. These all date back at least to the 18th Century and require restoration and making safe to avoid collapse and danger to the public.
There are 2 further 19th Century monuments needing attention, both connected to the local family of Mills. A cross needs re-fixing to the first. The second has been dislodged by wild animals and requires repositioning and concreting into position. Repairing and restoring these monuments will secure their preservation for many years into the future.
