St Andrew’s Church, Wickhambreaux – Roof and Stonework repair

Replacement of lead covering to North Aisle, associated roof tiling repair and substantial repair and alteration of timber deck reforming timber gutter sole and sump outlets with stonework repair. Overhaul of downpipes. Internal decoration. Associated masonry repairs in Rag and Caen stone and flint.
This work has been identified as urgently required in recent quinquennial reports. The roof on the North aisle is no longer watertight and ingress of water has caused damage to internal walls and furnishings including a valuable framed tapestry. The organ is now becoming vulnerable to water damage.
