St Ann’s Allotment Restoration Project Stage 2

Our consortium of 7 community organisations are restoring the worlds largest (32 hectares) oldest (grade 2* heritage site) innercity (10th most disadvanged) allotment site in the world.
The stage two capital investment of £2,018,549 is designed to enable public access by reinstating the approx. 50 avenues and paths, hedgerows, building an allotment management and access centre and managing 25% of the gardens (160) as community gardens/orchards, heritage and demonstration plots and wildlife areas. The capital works have been designed to achieve environmental, economic and social sustainability.
