St Austell RFC – Sports Hall Refurbishment

The community sports hall requires urgent refurbishment of its flooring and lighting, to enable them to continue providing low cost activities for the local community. The intended works will also enable them to expand the range of activities and improve the performance of the current offerings.
The funds will be used to install a modern sprung floor suitable for all indoor activities, and installation of energy efficient LED lighting that will reduce ongoing costs and improve light levels.
The surface of the current floor has begun to split and the lighting has degraded. Repairs are continuous but the age of the hall makes it difficult to maintain.Within two years they will have to close even though the business is viable.They are the only sports hall in the town for indoor football and large Badminton events.
