Despite regular maintenance, the courts need to be refurbished. Court drainage is the main problem so improvement here will extend the available playing time. Floodlighting too has become unreliable and expensive to use so complete replacement is planned and this will also allow longer playing time in the darker afternoons and evenings. This work has become important as demand for court time has increased in recent years.
