St Chads Parish Centre, Oldham – Roof Repairs and New Toilet (50221/D)

The project aims to improve: the roofing – coping stones are to be removed, re-bedded, re slating works undertaken and slating repairs where required. Ridge tiles removed, re-bedded and slating repairs where necessary. The redundant chimney stack to be demolished. New toilet – currently we have one ladies toilet. The toddler and older persons groups in-particular find this problematic as there are sometimes 30 children attending the Tuesday sessions. It is proposed to install one additional toilet and create two cubicles in the ladies toilet area which will then allow 2 toilets plus baby changing facilities to be used concurrently rather than just one toilet. By undertaking the roofing works we will eliminate water ingress which in the long term will protect and preserve the building for the future. The additional toilet will increase the facility we have currently. The Trust grant will contribute towards the roof repairs and toilet improvements.
