St Clement’s Open Garden

To develop space outside St Clement’s Church, Treadgold Street (approximately 400 sq ft) into an open space – an amenity for the public to rest, sit, and for quietness and relaxation.

Being close to the Tube station and at a pedestrian junction, and by a church housing a Community Development Project, and a nursery school, we believe it beneficial to provide a place far more open to all than is currently possible.

We intend to landscape the area, cutting back overgrown creepers, enhancing access through new gates on to Treadgold Street, provide benches and a community notice-board, with enclosing but accessibly fencing.

The project is intentionally low-maintenance, and managed by our existing voluntary gardeners.
