St Edmund’s Scout & Guide HQ – Atrium Roof

St Edmund’s Scout & Guide HQ is located in the grounds of St Edmund’s Church, Roundhay. The hall was built in the 1960’s as an ‘A’ Frame design with a single glazed atrium made up of 34 panels along the apex of the roof. These are currently a mixture of single glazed glass and polycarbonate due to breakages and vandalism. The project involves replacing the windows with new toughened glass, self cleaning, double glazed units to provide better insulation, give good natural light and be more vandal proof.
