St Gabriel’s Church, Aldersbrook – New Toilets and Kitchen (005960)

This project will extend the social space, enlarge the kitchen and provide two toilets. One toilet will be wheelchair accessible with baby changing facilities. The kitchen will be in an extended glass enclosure and will ease the challenge of catering for events. The office will be separated in the porch area, allowing better use of the social space.

These changes will overcome the present difficulties of providing suitable facilities for large gatherings, such as concerts and services.

This work is part of an ongoing scheme to increase the use of the church building. Improved heating to the whole building and repairs to the widows are part of this overall scheme. The heating to the extended glass enclosure will be controlled separately from the church space to allow community use throughout the year.
