St George with St James’ Church and Community Centre – Dry Rot, Re-wiring, Lighting and Re-roofing

Following an architect inspection, work was identified to keep the building open for all users.The total cost of the works is estimated to be £180k. The work is being done in phases. Phase 1 was to eradicate dry rot from the church, to rewire the church and to replace the lighting in the hall – this is leaking and unsafe flat roof that covers the kitchen, toilet, store and meeting areas shared by the church and hall.
