St George’s Church and Centre, Birmingham – Windows and Acoustic Partition (40396/D)

St George’s would like to increase use of the Centre by the local community, both by developing projects that meet specific local need, and welcoming new groups to share their space. However, there are a number of issues with the 1970s built Centre which are preventing the Church from achieving this aim, whilst impacting negatively on current user groups: the building is extremely cold, the décor is dated and uninviting, and the furniture is no longer fit for purpose. This project focuses on the ground floor, and seeks to maximise use of the upper hall and large meeting room by installing double glazing and a new folding acoustic partition between the hall and worship area. The Trust will contribute towards the windows and acoustic partition.
