St Georges Church Hall, Lee Mount

Lee Mount is an elevated peninsula of residential land which juts out towards Halifax Town Centre. Itself an area of need it is only accessible via Ovenden – an area of multiple deprivation (10%) – and overlooks the bypass and a major industrial area. It has a small group of community buildings (church hall and former vicarage, school including family centre, and WMC) clustered around 24 acre Shroggs Park, one of Halifax’s three important Victorian parks (Grade 2). These buildings are vital to both areas. A flat roof repair will safeguard and sustain existing community use of the hall and enable a series of internal upgrades.
