St Giles new pavilion

To build a new pavilion to enable all-round use by the community and the cricket club, and to allow better access for woman and girls and people with disabilities. The new build will provide a modern facility that will:

- Increase women's participation through improved changing facilities - with 100% increase in women's membership
- Increase overall participation through delivery of modern fit-for-purpose pavilion for participants and spectators
- Ensure the club is fully accessible for disabled people and aim to establish at least 1 disability cricket team
- Provide a community facility for community groups and organisations to use all year round in Dry Drayton, aiming for use by at least 2 community groups a week
- Provide income for the club through bookings and enhanced catering and bar facilities of circa £5000 a year, to be reinvested in the club's facilities and services

The current clubhouse is not fit for purpose and is in disrepair. Members have identified the current pavilion as a real impediment to their enjoyment and participation in club activities. It cannot currently be used for other users beyond cricket, or in the winter. The Parish Council have confirmed that more community facilities in the village are needed. Local groups including music groups, fitness groups, and Cambridgeshire constabulary have already expressed interest in booking the facility.
