St Hilda's Community Hall, Smethwick - Refurbishment (4939/D)

The community hall has, over the last four years, improved security with lighting and fencing. We have refitted the kitchen completely; installed new double glazing; refurbished the toilets with disabled and children's facilities; resurfaced the outer roof; installed a new heating system; and redecorated. For the final stage we wish to install a false flat ceiling to prevent heat loss into the domed roof, thus ensuring we are able to maximise savings on heating and keep our rents as low as possible. The Trust grant will contribute towards the new ceiling and lighting.
