St James City Farm Cafe Corner

To build a conservatory Cafe area providing a bright friendly space where young people will learn how to grow, cook and sell produce they have been involved at the City farm. The facility will be part of the overall farm facilities situated in one of the most deprived and multicultural areas of the county and it will offer an unique on the door step learning, volunteering and training opportunities as well as potential income generating potential for the farm which is run by a registered charity. The space will allow activities to take place regardless of the weather and will bring an innovative new space to an area which has seen many community facilities closed down. The building has been designed by volunteer architect and the project is being supported by a local building firm who will offer training to local young people through the construction and will work to cost where ever possible. The facility has a range of local groups, resident association and organisations supporting the proposal.
