St John The Divine Church, Billericay - Replacement Roof and Roof Lantern (008301)

This project aims to replace the deteriorating pyramid roof and leaking glass lantern with modern, insulated materials. The current roof lacks thermal efficiency and fails during heavy rain. By improving the structure’s environmental performance and safeguarding it against further water damage, this essential works will extend the building’s usable life, reduce the carbon footprint, and make the space safer and more energy-efficient for all the community activities. The site already has a bee friendly garden, additional planting and swift nesting boxes are also planned to encourage the biodiversity of the site.
