St Johns Church, Preston – Belfry Sound Control

Internal alterations to the belfry to control sound emissions by building blockwork walls inside the existing louvers at the base of the 200′ high spire, eight openings in the blockwork will be framed and fitted with lead-lined shutters to muffle the sound of the bells, general public access is available to the ringing floor & belfry by prior arrangement
