St John’s Cleckheaton – Community Room (5729/D)

The building will be partitioned vertically, creating a small worship area at the front and community spaces at the rear across two floors. The ground floor will be sub-divided into a main hall, a meeting room, a kitchen, a lobby and toilet facilities (1 female, 1 male, 1 accessible with baby-changing facilities). A new entrance lobby opens via double doors to the community hall, and via a door and a short corridor, to the worship space. A door between two sliding glazed panels gives access from hall to church and allows it to be used as an overspill area when required for larger events such as concerts and festivals. An entrance at the south west end allows direct access to the meeting room without passing through the community hall. The Trust grant will contribute towards the community rooms.
