St Johns, Hoxton Playground Improvements

This project will create an exciting natural play-zone for the local St Johns, Hoxton (LB Hackney) community. This will be an invaluable recreational resource to the adjacent social housing areas like the Arden Estate. This project seeks to provide something for everyone in a new inclusive, welcoming and revitalised space in front of the church. This will be a public facility that will be open from dawn till dusk for 355 days a year. The play facilities will be easily accessible for over 15,700 local residents, many of them families, elderly residents and young children living in the large surrounding social housing areas (Wenlock Barn Estate, St Johns Estate, Provost Estate, Fairbank Estate and Cranston Estate), as well as people from the wider area and visitors to Hoxton. Using Hoxton Ward profile data, this translates to there being approximately 1,500 local children (under 8) who will have easy access to the space.
