St John’s, Notting Hill – The Kitchen in The Space

To create a kitchen in the newly re-ordered community space in the western end building.The kitchen will primarily support the community activities and fall into 2 main categories:- to provide refreshments needed for users of the community rooms and for events such as free lunchtime music concerts, Tea Dances, film nights. The availability of the new community rooms is being promoted and current users include a sewing group for marginalised women, children’s art classes, National Childbirth Trust,and the Probation Service.- kitchen activities, we are planning courses for children and teenagers to combat obesity, and for the single and elderly who often suffer from isolation.Also, the kitchen will be used to make drinks after services.
