St Marks Church Centre, Kingstanding – Refurbishment and Development (40329/D)

The project aim is to refurbish the centre. One of the largest pieces of work will be the replacement of the main hall floor, it will be a like for like replacement of the block floor; the current one has been in place for 60 years. In addition to this improvements will be made to the kitchen serving area, allowing for food to be served more efficiently. The heating and lighting in the toilets will be improved, in the case of the lighting motion detectors will be used to replace traditional switches. One area of flooring in the toilets will be replaced, the existing floor covering is not deemed fit for purpose, it will be replaced with quarry tiles which will match other toilet areas. The main hall, meeting room, kitchen and toilets will be redecorated. The remaining windows in the hall replaced, half have already been done as well as a window in the meeting room. This will improve the thermal footprint of the two rooms.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the refurbishment of the church centre.
