St Martin’s Church Cambridge

To create a bright, warm, flexible space that can be used by the whole community in the central worship area of the church. It will be used to provide a cafe facility, exhibitions, concerts, conferences, wedding receptions, sporting activities, and would lend itself to many other suitable activities. The space is currently unusable because the ceiling lining has come to the end of its expected life and one panel has already fallen down. The ceiling repairs will require scaffolding in the entire central part of the building, so it has been decided at the same time to update lighting, improve insulation, redecorate, and replace the pews with chairs. Sound and video cabling will make hybrid meetings possible.
