St Mary Cray Riverside Gardens, Orpington – New Play Area (2868/D)

The project is to use an existing, unused paddling pool and turn it into a usable family sand and water play area. The shape and structure will remain the same with improved soak away drainage. Re-cycled granite sets will be contoured over the existing base and water pumps, rills and interactive sluice gates built. Level edges will give access to pushchairs and wheelchairs. One third of the area will be a sandpit with a climbing play structure.
The Trust grant is a contribution towards the play equipment.
