St Mary Magdalen Church, Coventry- Church Hall Refurbishment (006405)

The hall is a Banbury Building, erected to serve the community and after years of high usage and heavy footfall it is in need of repair and refurbishment. A damaged roof has caused interior damp issues and the hall had to close last year.

Chapelfields has a population of 15,000 residents, with a higher than city average of elder residents, single parent families and students. Past and present user groups and local resident groups are concerned about the acute lack of community space in Chapelfields which is further reduced while the hall is closed.

The aim is to bring the renovated hall back into community use.
