St Mary Magdalene’s Roofing Project

In 2009 the Hall, which is used a community centre, was successfully refurbished with generous funding from Veolia, Biffa and WREN. The project for which we now seek funding is to replace the 1961 pitched roof, which comprises a three layer built-up roofing felt sealed with bitumen and with underlayers containing asbestos. Over time the roof has been patched as leaks have occurred. The Hall Action Group wishes to replace the pitched roof to ensure the long term integrity of this modernised community facility whilst also significantly improving its appearance.
