St Mary’s Millennium Centre, Liverpool - Solar Panel and Battery Installation (008247)

This project will fund the installation of a 12.75kW SolarEdge HomeHub solar PV system with backup batteries at St Mary’s Millennium Centre in West Derby, helping them to transition to a low-carbon, energy-resilient community hub. The Centre, which serves over 900 people each week, is located alongside St Mary’s Church, and panel placement has been carefully planned to mitigate potential overshadowing from the church tower and maximise solar gain. The upgrade includes high-efficiency Trina Vertex solar panels, SolarEdge inverter, battery storage, scaffolding, structural survey, cabling, MCS certification, and insurance. It will generate over 9,500kWh of renewable electricity annually, reducing our carbon footprint and reliance on the grid. This project will support local awareness of sustainability in action and contribute to a cleaner, greener Liverpool. It fully aligns with Veolia’s goals around climate action, inclusion, and improving energy performance of community spaces.
