St Mary the Virgin Church, Peldon

The project aims to restore the church’s position as the focal point for the village. The floor has been altered and repaired over the centuries and is now uneven and made up of varied surfaces leading to dampness and a hazard to movement along the aisle and in other parts where visitors are free to move about. The flooring is essential now and new wiring is a priority. The toilet and kitchen facilities must follow as soon as possible to encourage greater use of the Church as a community amenity. The gallery could be seen as a longer term project.
