St. Mary the Virgin Upchurch, Window and Masonry Repair and Restoration

The project concentrates on high-level and urgent structural repairs to ensure the stability of the building. The east and west windows of the north aisle are in serious danger of falling out, along with the gable above. (This had already required shoring up). Three windows in the north elevation of the aisle also need serious structural repairs. The south elevation of the tower requires urgent grouting and pointing to prevent the flint facing falling off. Because of scaffolding costs, it is not sensible to phase the works.
