St Mary’s Church, Bampton - Repair of the West Chapel and South Porch Roofs

The project aims to repair the west chapel and south porch roofs of St Mary’s. Works include: Renewal of lead sheet covering or west chapel roof Carpentry repairs to west chapel roof New hardwood decking to west chapel roof Renewal lead sheet to porch roof Porch roof carpentry repairs New hardwood decking to porch roof West chapel/porch temporary works (access, fencing, security) Contractors' preliminaries/OHP @ 20% The work will be undertaken using conservation standards and sustainable materials. The existing lead sheeting will be recycled. If the roofs are not repaired, there is risk to the loss of this Grade I listed heritage building. If St Mary’s is allowed to deteriorate use of the building will be denied future generations.
