St Mary’s Church Bartlow

To carry out urgent repair and conservation work at St Mary’s Church Bartlow. The church is Grade I listed and has several distinctive and important features. It has a round tower, one of only two in Cambridgeshire, as well as 15th century wall paintings and bells that date back to 1440.
The repairs have been identified as most urgent in the latest Quinquennial report and will consist of roof repairs to address problems caused by water ingress – mainly around the North Entrance (porch and main roof) – and removal of cement render and repointing in porch with lime mortar.
