St Marys Church Black Bourton

This project is focussed on the restoration of the bells, one of which is cracked, and of the conservation/preservation of the frame. The scope of work is such that the bells once restored and tuned will be installed in a new frame beneath the preserved old frame, the old frame being currently considered beyond repair for full-circle ringing. The old frame would remain in place. The second part of the bells project is to augment the peal to the more common six bells by the addition of a new, smaller treble bell installed in a new and separate frame. This is on the recommendation of the bell-ringing expert community. The addition of a 6th bell will be fully funded through Parochial Church Council (PCC) fundraising.
