St Mary’s Church, Islington – Community Area Refurbishments (006246)

The project aim is to improve what is on offer to the local community, in particular to attract many more members of the local community,

The applicants plan to refurbish and bring back into use a wing of the Neighbourhood Centre that currently comprises of an old, decommissioned communal showers and communal changing rooms that have not been in use for many years, to include two new shower and changing cubicles, one of which will be fitted out for use by disabled people.

Refurbish the community room to facilitate more one-to-one and small group sessions in the youth club. These sessions will provide extra support for the young people, to fully participate in the youth club programme.

The refurbished reception will enhance the welcome given to all users of the Neighbourhood Centre.
