St Mary’s Church Restoration, Longsleddale

The church building sits in the valley and is of local stone and slate construction. The quinnquennial report has highlighted the need for the works and an appeal has been launched. It is the PCC’s hope to have the work finished in time for the church’s 150th anniversary.
The aim of the project is to stop water ingress by replacing the roof, soakers and valleys. Once water has been stopped the damp plaster will be replaced, the windows repaired and the inside of the church painted.
Wider works to meet with the disability access requirements include the installation of a ramp.
