St Mary’s Churchyard

The project will improve St Mary’s Churchyard by creating a community garden open to all; and enhance the natural habitat. The churchyard is currently in a very neglected condition. The works include landscaping, path improvements, tree planting, new hedgerows, new sculptured seating wall and interpretation boards to tell the story of the churchyard.
The project aims to:
* Create a place of peace, beauty and interest
* Provide for a garden of remembrance
* Improve and foster biodiversity
* Encourage appreciation of the natural environment
* Host community activities and events
