St Mary’s Complex, Bootle – Green Dream (5970/D)

Green Dream – Urban Growing & Community Environmental Project. SAFE, the local community and organisational partners have come together to deliver projects that will make use of the site’s natural resource of c. 4 acres. The aim of this project is to establish the resources and put in place the necessary physical structures to enable the development of initiatives focused around horticulture and permaculture whilst providing opportunities for community-based learning, accessible to all members of the community. This project is the first stage in a programme of outdoor activities that will be designed and created with the fullest involvement of the community and is crucial as it will provide the foundation for the programme of works for the next 5-10 years.
The Trust grant is a contribution towards the community garden.
