St Mary's, Woodkirk - Community Space Project

To create a flexible community space at the west end of the church building which will expand the use of the church beyond the current limited use, and create a much needed and affordable meeting place in an area with few comparable facilities. The space would: ? Contain toilets and a kitchenette, together with a ramp to the toilet facilities to ensure disabled access. ? Include the removal of 11 pews and the relocation of the font to maximise flexible space. ? Supplement much needed community space in the area, and provide flexibility with the Church Parish Centre which is well used and oversubscribed. ? Offer additional educational space for visiting schoolchildren. ? Be useable by community groups as well as the church.
