St Michael with St Thomas Church, Widnes - Community Room

Refurbishment of a room in the church to become a community resource, involving construction of an internal porch, new boiler/radiators, storage facilities, refurbished kitchenette, lowering ceilings, improved lighting, decoration. Some electrical and plumbing work required. A nearby Community Centre closed down and left the area with no place for people to meet. The existing outreach work tells of a growing need among older and socially isolated people, also young people feeling vulnerable at school. Facilities for parents & young children are sparse, this project will address this.
