St Michael’s Church, Battersea - Roof Repairs

The church dates from 1881 and the roof is now in need of major repairs and renovation. Many tiles are displaced, and have been badly repaired in the past particularly to the inner slopes of the nave and aisles and to the dormers. The lead valley gutter is in a very poor condition and water is penetrating into the nave. Tiling, flashings, glazing etc are in need of attention and the timber framing decorated. The rainwater goods need overhauling and decorating.
